The Golden Rule is nothing but a lie in the bible - killing of children and non-virgin women, enslaving, maiming of enemies, and so much more!

The sections of this article are:

1-  The so-called "Golden Rule".
2-  What others and what treatment and what Prophets???
3-  So what about Islam's rules regarding treatment of others?
The Golden Rule is in Islam!
4-  What about slaves in Islam?
Your slaves are your "brothers"
5-  Am I really not getting the "bigger picture" from the bible?
6-  Conclusion.

1-  The so-called "Golden Rule":

Let us look at the following lie in the New Testament:

"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (From the NIV Bible, Matthew 7:12)"

While, as a Muslim, I personally like the message very much, and will shortly show you that Islam truly honors this message, but this is by far, the biggest hoax I have ever seen in the bible!  See the killing of children and non-virgin women, maiming of enemies, enslaving people, terrorism, racism, and much more in the next section.

2-  What others and what treatment, and what Prophets???

What golden rule?!  What summation of Prophets?!

The Old Testament is by far the worst book when it comes to "doing to others as you would have them do to you":

1-  Slaves were to be enslaved for ever and inherited too; them and their children:

"Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.  (From the NIV Bible, Leviticus 25:44-46)

You can write a will for your children and cause for the slaves to be inherited as property!

Let's compare this with what GOD Almighty Truly Said in the Noble Quran:

"Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until God gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which God has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is God, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),  (The Noble Quran, 24:33)"

While the bible allows for slaves and their children to be willed and inherited from one generation to the next, the Noble Quran clearly gives the slaves the right to get their freedom and get some money from their Muslim Masters so they can get a good start in life.

See below in the article as to why slavery happened, and how it was then equivalent to our Social Security and Public Aid System today.  Visit the following link also to see how Islam came to end the Judeo-Christian and Pagan slavery for good!

2-  "Now kill all the boys [innocent kids]. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.  (From the NIV Bible, Numbers 31:17-18)"

See the historical elaborations and proofs from the Jews' Talmud about Numbers 31:17-18 and the details of what took place from events back then.  See how Moses ordered his men to rape 3-year old girls!

1 Samuel 15:2-4
2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
4 And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.

A praise for dashing little children against rocks as a form of revenge:

Psalm 137:8-9
8 O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one, O the happiness of him who repayeth to thee thy deed, That thou hast done to us.
9 O the happiness of him who doth seize, And hath dashed thy sucklings on the rock!

Again, visit the above link for more details about the bible's terrorism, pedophelia against even 3-year old slave girls, and much more.

Let's compare this with what GOD Almighty Truly Said in the Noble Quran:

"On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.  (The Noble Quran, 5:32)"

While the value of the human's life is easily compromised in the bible, the Noble Quran Holds it in the highest regard.

See also proofs how Aisha's parents were the ones who married her to our Prophet, and that no Muslim or even pagan objected to the marriage because it was widely practiced.  The reason no one objected was:

  1. People used to have very short life-spans in Arabia.   They used to live between 40 to 60 years maximum.  So it was only normal and natural for girls to be married off at ages 9 or 10 or similar.

  2. Marriage for young girls was widely practiced among Arabs back then, and even today in many third-world non-Muslim and Muslim countries.

So what treatment and what summation of the laws of the Prophets is the new testament talking about??

3-  So what about Islam's rules regarding treatment of others?

From http://www.answering-christianity.com/good_manners.htm:

Repel evil with good:

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: "The Prophet never used bad language neither a 'Fahish nor a Mutafahish. He used to say 'The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.' (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 759)"

Noble Verse 13:22 "Those who patiently persevere, seeking the countenance of their Lord; establish regular prayers; spend out of (the gifts) We have bestowed for their sustenance, secretly and openly; and turn off evil with good: for such there is the final attainment of the (Eternal) Home."

Noble Verse 23:96 "Repel evil with that which is best: We are Well-acquainted with the things they say."

Noble Verse 41:34 "Nor can goodness and evil be equal.  Repel (evil) with that is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate!."

Noble Verse 28:54 "Twice will they be given their reward, for that they have persevered, that they avert evil with good, and that they spend (in charity) out of what We have given them."

Noble Verse 42:40 "The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah: for (Allah) Loveth not those who do wrong."

Restrain Anger:

"It is part of the Mercy of Allah that thou dost deal gently with them.  Wert thou severe or harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about thee: so pass over (their faults), and ask for (Allah's) forgiveness for them; and consult them in affairs (of moment). Then, when thou hast taken a decision, put thy trust in Allah. For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).   (The Noble Quran, 3:159)"

"Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men; for Allah loves those who do good.   (The Noble Quran, 3:134)"

"Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant.  (The Noble Quran, 7:199)"

No foul language in public!

"Allah loveth not that evil should be noised a broad in public speech, except where injustice hath been done; for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth all things.  (The Noble Quran, 4:148)"

"Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow dissensions among them: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy.  (The Noble Quran, 17:53)"

"Who avoid vain talk;  (The Noble Quran, 23:3)"

"And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: 'To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant.'   (The Noble Quran, 28:55)"

"When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.  (The Noble Quran, 6:68)"

"Who avoid vain talk;  (The Noble Quran, 23:3)"

"And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: 'To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant.'  (The Noble Quran, 28:55)"

"So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!-  (The Noble Quran, 70:42)"

"(The sinners will say:) 'But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers;(The Noble Quran, 74:45)"

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: "The Prophet said, "Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.

1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.

2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.

3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.

4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.
(Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Belief, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 33)"

Narrated Jarir bin 'Abdullah:  "Allah's Apostle said, 'Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind.'  (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, ONENESS, UNIQUENESS OF ALLAH (TAWHEED), Volume 9, Book 93, Number 473)"

When you yawn, cover your mouth:

The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: "When one of you yawns, he should keep his mouth shut with the help of his hand, for it is the devil that enters therein.  (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book Pertaining to Piety and Softening of Hearts (Kitab Al-Zuhd wa Al-Raqa'iq), Book 042, Number 7130)"

Enter houses only after permission is granted to you:

Noble Verses 24:27-28 "27. O ye believe! Enter not houses other than your own, until ye have asked permission and saluted those in them: that is best for you, in order that ye may heed (what is seemly).

28. If ye find no one in the house, enter not until permission is given to you: if ye are asked to go back, go back: That makes for greater purity for yourselves: and Allah Knows well all that ye do."

Don't be stuck up!

Noble Verse 17:37 "Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou can not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height."

"And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for God loveth not any arrogant boaster.  (The Noble Quran, 31:18)"

No name-callings!

"O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong.  (The Noble Quran, 49:11)"

What else beside a "Golden Rule" would you call the above Laws in Islam?

4-  What about slaves in Islam?

From http://www.answering-christianity.com/equality.htm:

First, it is important to know that thousands of years ago life was different than today.  Today, people wouldn't accept slavery for any reason.  The reason for this is because people are a lot more independent both financially, education wise, mentally, etc...  But people back then were different.  When a tribe or a group of people lose a major battle and their money is mostly, if not all, is taken as war booty by the other side, then people could and would accept being slaves for the following reasons:

1-  Both financial and social security.   When their country or tribe lost the war, they also lost most or all of their money as war booty.  Being out of money and food, it becomes necessary for an individual to find the means for basic survival in life.  Living as a slave would provide this.

2-  Protection from hostile individuals.   Even under the Islamic rule, you can still find hostile individuals who violate the Law and take matters into their own hands.  An enemy family can be sometime in danger if they don't have a "protector".

3-  Widows, Orphans, and the extremely poor of the enemy side need the financial and social protection of a Master.  Back then, there were no governments with good social system that protects everyone.  Slavery back then was that social system in special cases.

There are probably more points I can add, but I think these are sufficient enough.   Let us now see the Islamic System toward Slaves:

Slaves can request and get their freedom from their Muslim Masters:

Yes slaves were taken from the blood-thirsty and hostile enemies, but they were also given the right to get their freedom when ever they want.  The Noble Quran not only allows slaves to request their freedom from their Muslim masters, but also orders the Muslim masters to pay the slaves money to help them stand on their feet and to be able to face life with a good jump start.

Let us look at Noble Verse 24:33 "Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until God gives them means out of His grace. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is God, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),"

In this Noble Verse, we see that if a slave requests his freedom from his Muslim master, then his master not only must help him earn his freedom if there is good in the Slave, but also pay him money so the slave can have a good start in his free life.

"The law of slavery in the legal sense of the term is now obsolete.  While it had any meaning, Islam made the slave's lot as easy as possible.  A slave, male or female, could ask for conditional manumission by a written deed fixing the amount required for manumission and allowing the slave meanwhile to earn money by lawful means and perhaps marry and bring up a family.  Such a deed was not to be refused if the request was genuine and the slave had character.  Not only that, but the master is directed to help with money out of his own resources in order to enable the slave to earn his or her own liberty." [2]

Again, the Prophet peace be upon him said:

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari:  "The Prophet said, "Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and release (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom).(Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Food, Meals, Volume 7, Book 65, Number 286)"

If a Muslim beats his slave or slaps him on the face, then he must set him free:

"Zadhan reported that Ibn Umar called his slave and he found the marks (of beating) upon his back. He said to him: I have caused you pain. He said: No. But he (Ibn Umar) said: You are free. He then took hold of something from the earth and said: There is no reward for me even to the weight equal to it. I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who beats a slave without cognizable offence of his or slaps him, then expiation for it is that he should set him free.    (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman), Book 015, Number 4079)"

"Abu Mas'ud reported that he had been beating his slave and he had been saying: "I seek refuge with Allah, but he continued beating him, whereupon he said: I seek refuge with Allah's Messenger, and he spared him. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: By Allah, God has more dominance over you than you have over him (the slave). He said that he set him free. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters, but made no mention of (these words) of his: I seek refuge with Allah, I seek refuge with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him).  (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman), Book 015, Number 4089)"

Your slave is your brother:

Narrated Al-Ma'rur: "At Ar-Rabadha I met Abu Dhar who was wearing a cloak, and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked about the reason for it. He replied, "I abused a person by calling his mother with bad names." The Prophet said to me, 'O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse him by calling his mother with bad names You still have some characteristics of ignorance. Your slaves are your brothers and Allah has put them under your command. So whoever has a brother under his command should feed him of what he eats and dress him of what he wears. Do not ask them (slaves) to do things beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so, then help them.'  (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Belief, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 29)"

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: "When the slave of anyone amongst you prepares food for him and he serves him after having sat close to (and undergoing the hardship of) heat and smoke, he should make him (the slave) sit along with him and make him eat (along with him), and if the food seems to run short, then he should spare some portion for him (from his own share) - (another narrator) Dawud said:" i. e. a morsel or two". 4097.    (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Oaths (Kitab Al-Aiman), Book 015, Number 4096)"

5-  Am I really not getting the "bigger picture" from the bible?

Now one might say that I am not getting the "bigger picture" here; that I am not understanding the overall message and I am only concentrating on little things.  My response is that I am not focusing on little things here.  Where is the bigger picture and message when slaves are stuck with their masters, abusive masters in many cases perhaps, for ever and ever, and they and their children are to be inherited for as long as the master(s) and the generations of "masters" that come after them wish.

Where is the bigger picture in violating one of the ten commandments that say "thou shalt not kill (or murder)", and yet we see innocent children and non-virgin women being slaughtered by the mass.

In fact, where in the old testament do we see anything about "doing to others as you would have them do to you"?  The New Testament claims that the summation of the Prophets (i.e., old testament) is that statement.  Show me where anything like this exists in the OT?

So much for the "bigger picture" and lies!

6-  Conclusion:

It is quite obvious that the load of lies that exists in the corrupted and man-altered book of new testament is overwhelming.  The divinity of the present Bibles is impossible.  The bible is the furthest from being the True Word of GOD Almighty.  As I demonstrated above, the killing of children and non-virgin women, enslaving of people, maiming of enemies, raping of women, terrorism and mass murders fully refute the lie of the "Golden Rule".

As I also demonstrated from the Islamic quotes above, the real "Golden Rule" or a rule that is close enough to it, only consistently exists in Islam without any ridiculous contradictions to it.  Yes slaves were taken from the blood-thirsty and hostile enemies, but they were also given the right to get their freedom when ever they want according to Noble Verse 24:33 above.  Also, the treatment of slaves in Islam was far better and more MERCIFUL than that in the bible.  Slaves in Islam could not be beaten, and they had to be dressed from the same clothes their masters owned, and eat from the same food.   The bible on the other hand, allowed for slaves and their children to be willed and inherited, and there are no restrictions for not beating them.

So as we clearly see, the so-called "Golden Rule" summing up the laws of the Prophets is nothing but a ridiculous hoax from the corrupted bible!

Again, as I mentioned in the previous section, one might say that I am not getting the "bigger picture" here; that I am not understanding the overall message and I am only concentrating on little things.

Apparently, the value of the innocent human life is easily compromised in the bible.

In fact, where in the old testament do we see anything about "doing to others as you would have them do to you"?  The New Testament claims that the summation of the Prophets (i.e., old testament) is that statement.  Show me where anything like this exists in the OT?

Again, like I mentioned above, so much for the "bigger picture" and lies!
